What is Restorative Dental Care?

Any procedure that aims to restore your smile's normal function and appearance is considered restorative dental care.

By remedying structural problems such as missing or damaged teeth, our dentists can help restore your smile - and your oral health.

At Anchor Dental Group, our dental team can recommend the right restorative treatment option for you depending on your issue.

Dental Crowns

Crowns are placed on top of teeth to restore their function and appearance. These porcelain caps are used to prevent a fractured tooth from deteriorating further, cover dental implants or attach bridges. They can also help restore a stained or discoloured tooth to once again look naturally white.

Dental Bridges

Custom-made bridges are bonded to dental implants or existing teeth to replace a section of missing teeth. These natural-looking tooth replacements can restore the contour of teeth, in addition to the bite between upper and lower teeth. They are colour matched to your natural teeth making them an effective option for discreetly restoring your smile.

Dental Fillings

Composite (tooth-coloured) fillings are used to repair tooth damage such as a crack or cavities. These fillings can tolerate moderate pressure from the continual stress of chewing, and may be used on front and back teeth.

Full & Partial Dentures

Often referred to as false teeth, dentures replace one missing tooth or several consecutive teeth (partial dentures), or an entire jaw of missing teeth (full dentures). They enable patients with missing teeth to help keep their facial structure.

Inlays & Onlays

Custom-made inlays and onlays are made in a dental laboratory, then permanently cemented to a tooth as a single piece. These tooth-coloured porcelain fillings repair cavities when extensive damage prohibits a standard dental filling.

Root Canals

Dentists at Anchor Dental Group remove diseased nerves, blood vessels, and tissues from the interior of a tooth. By eliminating bacteria and decay, your dentist helps stop the spread of infection and prevents the need for an extraction later.

Periodontal (Gum) Therapy

Tissues of the mouth, including the alveolar bone, periodontal ligament, gums, gingiva, and cementum can become infected with gum disease. If the condition is caught in its early stages, our dentists will recommend non-surgical preventive gum therapy. Otherwise, treatment methods will depend on the severity and type of disease.

Same-Day Restorations

Using CEREC® technology, our dentists can make and place porcelain crowns, inlays and onlays, often in a single dental appointment, to help restore your smile. Tooth-coloured, metal-free restorations to help improve the health of your smile, in as little as one convenient visit.
